My 4th Daughter-Running my Own Business-Loving Life while Adjusting to it!

As most of you know I had my 4th daughter on July 29th, 2014.  It’s hard to believe that she is already 6 weeks old! Boy, has time flew by!  I am having a harder time bouncing back this time.  With a 2 year old that is so full of life and a new baby that has had stomach issues… focusing on my business has been hard at times.  I deeply appreciate everyone who has sent congrats, showed concern, and contacted me during this special time in our life.  I am slowly starting to get people scheduled and back on my books.  If I have missed you, please message me!  My new schedule was also announced.  I will be shooting every Tuesday & Thursday (these days are mainly for my Newborns).  I will be shooting one Saturday a month (normally the 2nd Saturday of each month) and one Sunday a month (two if I have a busy month).

So let me tell you a little about my new addition:

Emory Ashlyne came 2 weeks early.  It was about 5 o’clock on a Tuesday evening when I started to think it may be time.  I knew earlier in that week that she would probably be coming soon.  I had clients on the books and warned them we may have to reschedule.  {The week before she came I captured 9 newborns.  The day before she came… 2 of my favorite twins that hit their 6 month mile stone came down from Virgina to see me. I had to call my husband to come stand with  me while I shot that one because I was contracting so bad!}.  Back to that Tuesday evening…. I called my husband at work and let him know I felt like my water may be leaking.  When we got to the hospital (around 6:30pm)… it was confirmed my water was leaking and we wouldn’t be leaving the hospital.  It didn’t take long and I received my epidural.  It didn’t do as well as my other daughters (I never felt anything with them).  I could still feel contraction. Everything happened so quick!

Emory arrived at 10:46 and when I heard that first cry… I had more emotion than I had ever had before.  I don’t understand why.  Don’t get me wrong.  Each one of my daughters birth came with a flood of emotion.  Something only a mother can truly understand!  My conclusion is…. knowing Emory is my last… played a HUGE role in that.  She weighed in at 8lbs. 12oz and 21 & 1/2 inches long (YES 2 Weeks EARLY AND THAT BIG).  She has more hair than any of my other daughters had.  She is so laid back in personality and only cries when her tummy hurts.  She loves to be talked to too!  Her sister adore her!  Tenley (my 3rd youngest), is madly in love.

If you haven’t already, check out the video below to see the most amazing capture, showing that love.  My husband had to play photographer at the hospital.  He happened to have my camera in hand and caught the video.  Below are some delivery pictures he took too.  I think I should give him a part-time job! haha  I am sharing these with my amazing client base because so many of you are like family to me… and great friends!  I hope you all enjoy!

Oh, as for me….I am doing better each week.  I’ve had a lot of back pain with this one and a harder time recovering from that.  (Epidural caused that).

Now, here are a few I’ve Captured during the first month. Due to my back problems and her tummy problems.  We weren’t able to do a full newborn shoot.WMemory-copy
